We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Accountant to join our organization. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for month-end close processes, audits and tax compliance.

Essential Job Duties

  • Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications
  • Prepare and reconcile key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Support external audits: prepare schedules, respond to queries, and follow up on audit findings
  • Support system and process improvement initiatives
  • On-going process improvement and ad-hoc projects as they arise
  • Asist in the preparation of Financial Statements and monthly Management Accounts
  • Support the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other relevant tax-related reports across multiple European countries
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, liaising with external tax advisors and legal counsel as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support operational and tactical decision-making
  • Support new market launches; work closely with local tax advisors to understand local compliance regulations, work closely with our internal IT team to set up our ERP systems, work closely with Sales to update the price list accordingly
  • Support the transition to E-invoicing, working closely with 3rd party service providers


Requirements:

  • Part-qualified/Newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience preparing VAT returns and supporting multiple tax filings
  • Experience with various European tax regulations is a plus (Eco Tax, Sigaus, MOT, Excise Duty) is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Avalara system is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
  • Fluent English; another european language is a plus


Benefits:

  • 100% employee paid medical coverage, private pension w/ 5% match, death in service, and income protection.
  • Compensation from €45K-€60K depending on experience (Part-qualified/Newly qualified) per year; compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
  • 20 days of PTO + Public Holidays. Employees are required to take one week of leave during Winter Break and two weeks during Summer Brea. An additional flexible week of leave may be taken at any time during the year.


Location & Commitments

  • Full-time, permanent
  • Report to office in Dublin, Ireland
  • Work Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 day remote
