The Opportunity
Our client is a leading Irish Telco provider working with some of Ireland’s most significant enterprise and public sector organisations, delivering transformative technology solutions at scale. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth business in a pivotal senior leadership role, with full ownership of a portfolio of strategic accounts and a clear path to influence at board level.
The Role
The Sales Director – Strategic Accounts will take ownership of the company’s most valuable and complex client relationships. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening executive-level engagement, and positioning the business as the long-term technology partner of choice for a defined portfolio of enterprise and public sector accounts. This is both a relationship and a commercial role – you will need to be as comfortable in a boardroom as you are building a compelling commercial proposal.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise and public sector accounts, acting as the senior point of contact and trusted advisor at C-suite and Director level
- Develop and execute account growth strategies across the full ICT portfolio – AI, cybersecurity, managed services, and infrastructure
- Drive revenue retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities to consistently exceed annual revenue targets
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from qualification through to contract negotiation and close
- Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to craft compelling, commercially sound solutions that meet client objectives
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and account plans using CRM, providing regular reporting to senior leadership
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client forums to build market profile and generate opportunities
- Work closely with the CRO and leadership team to shape go-to-market strategy and contribute to business planning
What You Will Bring
- 8–10 years of senior sales experience within the Telco / ICT sector, with a demonstrable track record of managing and growing large, complex accounts
- Strong knowledge and commercial understanding of AI solutions, cybersecurity, and managed services – the ability to hold credible technical conversations at a senior level is essential
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at CxO and Director level within enterprise and public sector organisations in Ireland
- Experience leading and winning complex, high-value tender and procurement processes in the Irish market
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills and experience closing deals with a significant annual contract value
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and target-driven – comfortable operating with autonomy in a senior individual contributor or player-manager capacity
- Strong Irish market network across enterprise, financial services, healthcare, or public sector is highly desirable

- Base Salary: Depending on experience
- Competitive OTE with uncapped commission structure
