Our client, a well-established Corporate Finance team, is currently seeking to hire a Director of M&A.


Role:

  • Originate, lead and manage M&A transactions, “cradle to the grave”
  • Develop a through understanding of the client’s requirements, working with them to develop the best approach
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that work is properly executed at all times
  • Identify and anticipate risks that require escalation
  • Play a key role is all origination efforts by identifying and analysing business development opportunities
  • Communicate effectively internally, keeping relevant stakeholders informed of deal progress and risks
  • Actively strengthen external relationships to broaden your network and contribute to origination efforts
  • Actively mentor and develop more junior members of the team



Candidate:

  • Proven track record of working beginning to end on M&A transactions in the Irish and/or UK market is essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Proficient in detailed financial and commercial analysis and the ability to identify potential areas of sensitivity
  • Ability to identify key issues on assignments and suggest workable solutions
  • Experience in presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral
  • Strong team player
