About Us
We are a Recycling & Skip hire Business, operating from our Merthyr office. We are seeking a motivated and organised Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to support the company’s accountant and contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including:
Credit control
Managing the purchase ledger
Handling the sales ledger
Completing bank reconciliations
Preparing draft VAT returns
Preparing draft accounts to trial balance
Using Xero accounting software for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
Using our skip tracking software
Carrying out general office administration as required
Experience & Skills
Experience in an accounting environment is essential
Familiarity with Xero is extremely beneficial
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
