Electrical Engineer

Position Description

Using sound electrical methodologies and technologies, the Electrical Engineer is

responsible for the design, development and maintenance of electrical control systems

and equipment focusing on productivity, quality, safety and capacity optimization.

Responsible for helping to create and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 or more years experience in an OEM environment.
  • Experience with design of control systems and process piping systems.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Familiar with programming and troubleshooting PLCs (typically Rockwell/AB).
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience.
  • Knowledge of dairy and food industries preferred.
  • Demonstrates personal character in line with our Values and Code of Conduct.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work with customers to determine project scope. Communicate with customers to

learn and maintain existing standards. Provide functional specifications, estimates, and

project timelines.

Provide reliability expertise during the design and implementation phase of new assets

as well as ongoing support.

Use sound electrical design methodologies in the development of industrial machinery

hardware design. Use AutoCAD software to develop system drawings, panel layouts and

other drawings as needed. Use sound judgment to assist customers in minimizing maintenance,

reducing downtime, and leveraging common spares and components.

Specify and write software for PLC and HMI control systems using provided reference

programs. Document work instructions for customers as needed.

Specify, test, calibrate, and incorporate electrical instrumentation into overall system

design.

Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support,

documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes,

and customer requirements.

Investigate customer issues. Determine nature and extent of problem and resolve.

Show a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer service. Ensure company

policies and procedures are consistently followed. Other duties as assigned.
