The HR Associate will serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, manage employment documentation, facilitate exit processes, and support the implementation of HR policies aligned with federal and state laws. You will work closely with various internal stakeholders to foster a positive work environment and uphold the company's commitment to safety and compliance. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and are eager to grow within a global organization committed to employee development and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, a relevant degree or ongoing education in Human Resources or a related field, and 1-2 years of HR experience. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of HR principles and practices, experience navigating HRIS systems confidently and securely, and a meticulous approach to work with a focus on flawless execution. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred qualifications include experience with HR management systems such as Workday and UKG, payroll systems like ADP and Kronos, and a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Prior exposure to payroll processing or benefits administration will be considered advantageous. Candidates demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships within diverse teams will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the HR department complies with all federal and state laws concerning employee records, terminations, and resignations.
- Follow up with employees resigning from the company to understand their reasons and document feedback for management review.
- Conduct effective exit interviews with both office and front-line staff, ensuring completion of exit checklists and proper filing of documentation.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date personnel records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, legal standards, and regulations to internal stakeholders to promote awareness and compliance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions or concerns, providing timely and professional support.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the HR Confidential mailbox to ensure efficient communication and issue resolution.
- Support onboarding processes, employee engagement initiatives, and other HR programs as needed.
