FF&E Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with architects, interior designers, and project managers to understand the design intent and functional requirements.
• Provide recommendations on FF&E selections that align with project goals and client expectations.
• Source and select furniture, fixtures, and equipment that meet design specifications, budget constraints, and quality standards.
• Research and maintain knowledge of industry trends, materials, and innovative products.
• Build and maintain relationships with FF&E suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure optimal value and quality.
• Prepare FF&E budgets, cost estimates, and procurement schedules.
• Oversee purchase orders, invoices, and payment schedules to ensure budget compliance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive FF&E documentation, including specifications, mood boards, and material samples.
• Provide regular updates and reports on FF&E progress, budget status, and potential risks.
• Coordinate delivery, warehousing, and installation of FF&E items with contractors and site teams.
• Inspect and ensure proper installation, resolving any on-site issues.
• Ensure all FF&E items comply with safety regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
• Conduct quality checks to confirm items meet the required specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) engineering, specifically in design, procurement, or project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E specifications, materials, and finishes, particularly in high-end residential or hospitality projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
