Job Purpose
The role of this position is to provide instructional technology that will support the professional growth and development of all students and staff in facilitating learning and the application of effective instructional technology practices. This position provides support through planning, modeling, and training across all content areas. The position will be responsible to plan and implement instructional technology based on district, building, and/or teacher needs, in order to serve the students at Linden Community Schools.

- Provide technical support to teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students.
- Introduce teachers to new technology integration methods, materials and instructional strategies that have proven to increase student achievement.
- Partner with instructional coaches and department heads to embed AI literacy into the K-12 curriculum across all subject areas.
- Use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of AI tools on student engagement and teacher workload reduction.
- Evaluate and recommend AI-powered educational tools (e.g., adaptive learning platforms, lesson planners, and grading assistants) that align with state standards.
- Develop frameworks for teaching the ethical implications of AI, including bias, data privacy, and digital citizenship.
- Design and lead ongoing PD sessions ranging from "AI 101" to advanced workshops on automating administrative tasks.
- Vet AI vendors to ensure they meet strict student data privacy requirements and do not use student data to train LLMs without consent.
- Stay at the forefront of Generative AI (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) trends, advising the Cabinet/Superintendent on long-term tech investments.
- Collaborates with instructional staff in regard to the effective use of technology tools and resources.
- Work with building level administration to identify, research, and implement virtual learning opportunities for students and teachers.
- Provide support and training to teachers in the use of online and blended learning, digital content and collaborative learning networks to support and extend student learning as well as expand opportunities for online professional development for teachers and administrators.
- Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with district-level instructional supervisors to evaluate, select and implement technology-enhanced learning experiences addressing content standards and student technology standards.
- Identifies technology integration competencies among instructional staff, in collaboration with school administrators, and delivers appropriate coaching, training, and resources to support the professional growth of individuals.
- Evaluate the results of professional learning programs to determine the effectiveness of increasing student learning.
- Model and promote digital citizenship by facilitating safe, healthy, legal and ethical use of digital information and technologies.
- Regularly evaluates and reflects on professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen the ability to effectively support and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences.
- Supports the collaboration and communication among school and district staff through the management of electronic interaction venues, e.g. websites and video-conferencing.
- Coordinates with the school and Technology Department for timely reporting of equipment needing repair or other support issues, as well as ensuring the smooth and successful deployment of new technologies to include troubleshooting basic software, hardware and connectivity problems common to digital learning environments.
- Participate in Administrative Staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Is proficient and knowledgeable in the district’s student management system (Synergy) and the capabilities of using Synergy to enhance the student’s and teacher’s responsibility in the education process.
- Responsible for district-wide data integration.
- Assists students, teachers, and administration with data requests.
- Comply with all district policies and procedures.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before staff.
Mathematical Skills
Excellent mathematical skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions and percentages. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
