John Michael Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygan, WI) is seeking a Preschool Teacher to serve as a Wisconsin State licensed 4K preschool teacher in Preschool for 4– to 5–year–olds. Responsibilities include implementing our arts–based curriculum with the 4K Preschool that is affiliated with the Sheboygan Area School District. Responsible for teaching, classroom management, administration, communication with parents, and evaluation of students’ development through assessments that align with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (DPI).

School Schedule Dates: August 11, 2026 - June 12, 2027
- Daytime hours Monday – Friday
- Monday- shorter day focused on planning and preparation
- Tuesday – Friday classroom instruction
- Occasional evenings or weekends to support museum and preschool events
What You’ll Do
What you’ll bring:
- Knowledge and training in best practices in the administrative aspects of Preschool administration as mandated by the state of Wisconsin.
- Knowledge, experience, and interest in a variety of visual and performing arts.
- Curriculum development for an arts-based Preschool for ages three to five.
- Experience in early childhood education.
- Experience directing support staff and volunteers.
- Strong communication skills to include conflict resolution, child mediation, and parent communications.
- Team and detail-orientation
- Creativity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Wisconsin DPI teaching License required
- Two years of experience in Early Childhood Education
- Excellent communication skills, organized, and detail-oriented
- Background in the arts highly desired
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center (JMKAC) is a nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts center located in the heart of downtown Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
