Senior Technical Architect / Lead Software Engineer

This team is looking for a senior-level technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, influencing architecture strategy, mentoring developers, and staying hands-on with modern technology solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale enterprise applications and integrations
• Partner closely with engineering teams, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions
• Provide technical leadership across complex multi-system initiatives and modernization projects
• Drive development best practices, coding standards, and architectural direction
• Design and support Java-based services, APIs, enterprise integrations, and cloud-connected applications
• Help improve system scalability, reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability
• Participate in system design reviews, technical roadmapping, and strategic planning sessions
• Mentor and guide other developers while fostering a collaborative engineering environment
• Support automation, testing, troubleshooting, and production support initiatives when needed
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and business value

What They’re Looking For

• Extensive experience leading enterprise software engineering or architecture initiatives
• Background serving as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or Lead Engineer on highly complex projects
• Strong hands-on experience with Java application development and enterprise integrations
• Experience working with Salesforce and interconnected business platforms
• Deep understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, and SDLC best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business teams
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution
• Experience mentoring engineers and helping guide technical direction across teams

Additional Experience That Would Be Helpful

• Insurance or financial services industry experience
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and enterprise platforms
• Cloud platform experience and distributed systems knowledge
• Exposure to automation, performance optimization, and scalable architecture design
