The Role at a Glance
As a Sales Engineer (District Sales Manager), you aren't just selling hardware; you are solving complex technical challenges. You will spend your time in the field, meeting with customers to identify their needs and demonstrating how our world-class data acquisition (DAQ) solutions can revolutionize their projects.
- Work Location: Remote (Ideally within 1 hour of a major WA airport).
- Sales Territory: Washington, Alaska, and British Columbia.
- Travel: 50–75% (includes client visits and trade shows).
- Consultative Sales: Identify and establish contact with potential customers; perform hands-on product demonstrations.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and grow existing accounts by becoming a trusted technical advisor.
- Market Strategy: Attend industry trade shows, monitor trends, and recommend marketing strategies to target specific demographics.
- Technical Support: Help clients understand new product updates and features; generate quotes and tailored solutions.
- Reporting: Track progress via CRM and submit sales reports to management.
The Essentials:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Technical Aptitude: Knowledge of basic electrical skills and the ability to learn complex DAQ systems.
- Communication: Impeccable interpersonal skills with the ability to present technical data clearly.
- Organization: Excellent time-management habits and the ability to work independently from a home office.
- Requirements: Must have reliable transportation and the ability to meet the 50–75% travel requirement.
