The Superintendent I will oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site. The Superintendent I will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination and Management:
- Coordinate and manage all construction activities on-site, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and equipment logistics.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed to address deviations and issues.
- Subcontractor Management:
- Supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring they adhere to project schedules, quality requirements, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance and direction to ensure efficient and productive workflow.
- Safety Compliance and Risk Management:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on-site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, identify hazards and risks, and take corrective actions to mitigate potential accidents and injuries.
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Monitor construction activities to ensure workmanship, materials, and installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of construction and address any deficiencies or non-conformances in a timely manner.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, architects, and engineers.
- Provide regular progress updates, reports, and documentation to project management and stakeholders, and address any concerns or issues proactively.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and supervise field personnel, including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors, to ensure they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promote teamwork and communication, and provide mentorship and coaching to support professional growth and development.
