Unlock the Future of Platform Engineering with Us
Imagine being the operating force behind a company redefining how platform engineering is done. At Syntasso, you'll work hand-in-hand with our CEO, Colin, and the founding team, turning ambitious strategy into clear priorities, coordinated teams, and measurable commercial progress.
We created Kratix, an open-source framework that helps organisations design and scale their internal platforms, and Syntasso Kratix Enterprise for teams who need more. One early adopter cut platform onboarding from weeks to hours.
We're a small team, pre-Series A, and growing. This is the moment to join.
You'll sit close to the CEO and work across almost every part of the business: GTM, operations, and strategy.
Think of this as someone who extends Colin's reach across the business, brings care and precision to how we operate, and fills the GTM gaps.
This role is about what sits between and above GTM, engineering, and product: the harder, more ambiguous work that connects strategy to execution, keeps the company oriented, and gives our commercial functions the expertise and direction they need. If you're looking for a well-defined remit, this probably isn't it. If you're energised by figuring that out as you go, it might be exactly right.
No two weeks will look the same. Some will be structured and planned; others will be reactive and messy. The OKR cycle is ticking, the board pack is due, a sales opportunity needs shaping, and something unexpected lands on a Tuesday. You'll be expected to hold it all without dropping the thread.
Keeping Strategy Connected to Execution. You'll own our system for connecting company strategy to team-level work; keeping priorities clear at every level and learning flowing in both directions.
Supporting and Shaping the Sales Motion, with an Eye on the Broader GTM Picture. You'll bring enough commercial expertise to support, sharpen, and improve how we sell — and contribute perspective on marketing and customer success as both functions develop.
Coaching Our Way of Working. We have a particular way of working, rooted in systems thinking and built around Kanban and regular feedback cadence. You'll help people understand and live it.
Driving Commercial and Investor Work. Financial models, board materials, investor updates, and fundraising narratives.
Leading Cross-Functional Initiatives. The important projects that sit between teams (market analysis, pricing reviews, and go-to-market sequencing) need someone to own them. That's you.
Creating and Maintaining Data Models, Systems, and Visualisations. The dashboards and maps that keep the whole company oriented; where we are, where we're going, and how we're tracking.
Contributing to Growth and Company Strategy. You'll work closely with our CEO on commercial direction, the timing of key growth decisions, and how different parts of the business align behind them. There is real scope for this role to grow over time.
Owning Internal Communications. All-hands, company updates, and the narrative that keeps a small team aligned today and a much larger one aligned tomorrow.
What We’re Looking ForWe care more about how you think and operate than a perfect match on paper.
You'll likely be someone who takes ownership naturally, moves between strategy and execution without needing a full brief, and brings clarity to situations that don't have obvious answers.
You're drawn to product and systems thinking; not necessarily as a job title you've held, but as a way of approaching problems. You think about root causes, feedback loops, and how small changes ripple through a system.
You have commercial and GTM experience, with sales at the centre of it. You understand how early-stage companies build pipeline, close deals, and retain customers — and you're comfortable getting into the detail of that, not just advising from a distance.
You're familiar with the reality of early-stage companies; where resources are lean, roles are fluid, and the ability to operate without a full brief is as important as any specific skill. You don't need to have spent your whole career in startups, but you'll know enough to know what you're walking into.
Beyond that, it helps if you have:
Fluency in Agile, Lean, Kanban, and OKRs; not just as vocabulary, but as practices you've applied and adapted.
Credibility with technical teams. You don't need to be an engineer, but you understand how software is built.
We're a small, purposeful team. We move fast, stay close to our customers, and care deeply about doing things properly. You'll find us debating ideas openly, learning from each other, and occasionally disagreeing — always in good faith.
We look out for one another, and we believe balance is part of doing great work: a 35-hour week, hybrid working with regular time at our London Bridge office, and Research Fridays every other week for learning and open exploration.
Salary is competitive and discussed openly; we'd rather have an honest conversation about what works for both sides than anchor you to a number too early.
Our ProcessOur process is designed to be two-way, as much about you getting to know us as the other way around. You'll have conversations with the cofounders, the wider team, our investors, and Colin. We'll move at a pace that respects your time.
At Syntasso, we believe diverse and inclusive teams build better products, foster stronger communities, and create happier workplaces. We welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and we're committed to an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
If you're excited about what we're building but unsure you tick every box, please apply. We'd genuinely love to hear from you.
