Summary Of Key Responsibilities
The Operations Supervisor contributes to the overall success of the organization by:
- Leading crews on-site installation of products and services to client specifications, interfacing with all levels of clients, in-house partners and facility management.
- Acting as Manager-on -Duty in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Responsible for leading, directing and delegating work, motivating, managing performance and employee relation issues, attendance issues, and providing career guidance to direct reports.
- Directly supervise the technical staff in the installation of shows and permanent tenants at assigned facilities.
- Assign daily work load and determines priorities of duties to meet customer expectations and show time frames.
- Develop technical staff in all aspects of company products and services and work with customers to resolve installation/service related complaints.
- Assist Operations Manager with the training and development of new and existing technicians.
- Provide assistance in the planning of show install for manager.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, monitoring, evaluating and disciplining of technical personnel. Inspects regularly the quality of work of installations.
Experience: 3 – 5 years in convention/show experience and data/ telecommunications industry. 1 – 2 years supervisory experience.
Specific Skills: Able to read and understand floor plans and booth specifications. Able to terminate Cat5e/Cat6e cable.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc. Thorough knowledge in telephone connectivity and router switch utilization and function. Basic Cisco knowledge preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility, if any: Manage and lead crews of 2 – 15.
