Job Description
You will be the Hardware Engineer for the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) Engineering Services team. Our team synchronizes engineering, procurement, production planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to guarantee that every CAD dataset, change request, and technical document complies with Lockheed Martin Command Media standards and is released on schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Hardware Engineer you will act as the trusted bridge that keeps data flowing smoothly across disciplines and external partners. You’ll own the end to end process that prepares, loads, tracks, and releases engineering deliverables in Windchill, ensuring every package meets quality and compliance requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining work packages and associated workflows in Windchill.
- Coordinating with design engineers to load CAD files into Change Requests (CRs) and Change Notices (CNs) before release initiation.
- Managing task assignments, checking, and program sign off coordination within the Windchill environment.
- Verifying that documentation (drawings, BOMs, parts lists) is accurate, complete, and correctly attached to releases.
- Facilitating Concept Screening Board meetings to review and approve engineering changes.
- Enforcing Command Media compliance for all incoming and outgoing documentation.
- Monitoring release status, flagging bottlenecks, and driving corrective actions to keep schedules on track.
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting metrics that highlight delays and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partnering with engineering disciplines, procurement, production planning, manufacturing, and external suppliers to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Establishing and maintaining initial documentation processes and engineering procedure directives.
