Talent Acquisition Specialist
Indexed description
That's where you come in.
The Role
We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Operations team in Indianapolis, reporting to the VP of People Operations. This is an early-career role designed for someone who wants to learn the full employee lifecycle from the ground up and grow into a Talent Acquisition Partner over time.
You'll start by taking ownership of our onboarding program — the documentation, the orientation coordination, the systems work, and the candidate-to-employee handoff that sets the tone for everyone who joins PV. Once you've got that running smoothly, you'll grow into the recruiting side: coordination, candidate experience, sourcing support, and eventually full-cycle recruiting.
What You'll Be Doing First
- Owning new hire onboarding from offer acceptance through the first weeks on the job — documentation, orientation coordination, system setup, and the small details that make new employees feel like they made the right call
- Supporting employee lifecycle processes including offboarding, internal transfers, and employee data updates
- Maintaining HR systems and employee records in Paycor with a high bar for accuracy and confidentiality
- Supporting HR initiatives like performance reviews, engagement surveys, and training programs
- Pitching in on ad hoc HR projects and reporting
- Coordinating and scheduling interviews across multiple stakeholders so candidates have a clean, professional experience from first contact to offer
- Managing our job postings across LinkedIn, Indeed, our company website, and other platforms
- Screening resumes and conducting initial candidate outreach for select roles
- Serving as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process
- Coordinating logistics for onsite and virtual interviews
- Maintaining accurate candidate data in our ATS (Paycor)
- Helping draft job descriptions and interview guides
- Partnering with universities and professional organizations to build our brand and our pipeline by managing career fair applicants and attending career fairs
- 0–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or administrative support
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field — or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping any of them
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you'll be one of the first people new hires interact with
- A high attention to detail and a real respect for confidentiality
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Paycor or another ATS/HRIS is a plus
- Practical fluency with AI tools — we're a company that uses them thoughtfully to work smarter, and we want someone who's curious about doing the same in HR
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Why PV
We're 100% employee-owned, which means when PV grows, you grow. We invest in our people and we promote from within — this role is built with a clear path to Talent Acquisition Partner for the right person who's ready to grow into it. You'll get hands-on exposure to the full employee lifecycle, partner directly with our VP of People Operations, and play a real role in shaping how people experience PV from day one.
