Position Overview: We are seeking an Account Manager to support Producers by managing a book of business and delivering exceptional client service. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams, ensuring policies are accurate, coverage needs are met, and service requests are handled efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at building strong client relationships.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to our office located in Southport, NC.
Professional Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing responsive and knowledgeable client service.
- Manage the full policy lifecycle, including quoting, binding, renewals, endorsements, and policy updates.
- Review coverage needs, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions to enhance client protection.
- Act as a liaison between clients, carriers, and underwriters to resolve service issues, billing inquiries, and coverage questions.
- Prepare and submit renewal applications, proposals, and supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Monitor renewal and new business activity to maintain continuous coverage and ensure timely premium payments.
- Support claims reporting and provide ongoing follow-up to ensure resolution and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems and CRM platforms.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer service, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
- Experience with commercial and/or personal lines insurance products and underwriting principles preferred.
- Proficiency with agency management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of professionalism with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
