Acquisition and project support:
- Support the Senior Project Manager in acquisition and project activities in key sectors of the department and more specifically on Conflict & Crisis Management, Resilience& Peace Building, Security Sector Reform, Migration, and Displacement.
- Take over acquisition and management tasks with a growing degree of autonomy, working with Framework Contracts (especially SEA 2022) as well as with Service Contracts and Grants.
- Support in maintaining project documentation ,ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
- Organizing meetings, taking minutes, and facilitating communication between project teams and stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring project timelines and milestones, reporting any deviations to the Senior Project Manager.
- Supporting quality assurance of project outcomes and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager in conducting field visits or monitoring missions as required.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and beneficiaries under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Assist in drafting correspondences, reports, and presentations as necessary.
- Act as a liaison between different departments or teams involved in project activities.
- Take over administrative tasks (with a growing degree of autonomy) related to project management, including procurement, monitoring of resources, and maintaining project databases.
- Assist in organizing project-related events, workshops, or training sessions.
- Actively engage in learning and understanding various sectors within the department to support the Team in sector-specific matters.
- Assist in identifying technical trends, market developments, and relevant updates within respective fields.
- Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a keen interest in project management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and completeness in tasks.
- Experience in negotiating contracts with clients and proven knowledge of EU PRAG requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in fields related to International Relations, Security Studies, Public Policy, or relevant disciplines.
- Master’s degree or other postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields would be an asset.
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory; German would be an asset.
- Prior professional experience or internship within a private sector consultancy working in related fields is required.
- Previous experience with Framework Contracts (and namely SEA) would be a strong asset.
