Events Porter

UCD Foodhall is seeking reliable and hardworking Events Porters to support the set-up, operation, and breakdown of events held within the Foodhall.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up and dismantling event spaces, including tables, chairs, staging, and equipment
• Assisting with deliveries and moving stock, furniture, and supplies safely
• Supporting event teams during live events as needed
• Ensuring the Foodhall and event areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Following health & safety procedures and manual handling guidelines
• Working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, depending on event schedules

• Good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Flexible availability to cover events as required
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed

• Previous experience in a porter, facilities, events, or hospitality role
• Manual handling training (training can be provided)
