The Role

You’ll take full ownership of the engineering organisation (~25 engineers via Heads of) and be responsible for:

• Running and evolving high-volume live systems
• Driving architecture, scalability, and infrastructure decisions
• Working closely with teams to guide technical direction and challenge decisions where needed
• Leading across Node.js, cloud, Docker & Kubernetes
• Elevating engineering standards, delivery, and reliability
• Building a high-calibre team through strong hiring and leadership
• Establishing robust, scalable, and secure systems (ISO readiness)

This is a hands-on leadership role — not a step away from tech. You will stay close enough to the systems and teams to influence architecture meaningfully.
