At Dycom Industries, as a Senior Accountant, you’ll play an integral role in day-to-day corporate accounting operations; including but not limited to managing general ledger activities, reconciling accounts, month end close, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This role has a business focus and requires you to work cross-functionally with various departments within the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare & post journal entries with supporting documentation; including accruals and other necessary adjusting entries
  • Contribute to timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
  • Identify and address discrepancies or issues that arise, resolving them in a timely manner
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in accounting operations

What You’ll Need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent - CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting, with a focus on month-end close activities
  • Sound business and financial acumen
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

  • Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods
  • Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training
