Position Summary:


The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will generate sales of Crinetics products within the defined segment to a level that meets and/or exceeds objectives through effective and persuasive execution of the marketing & commercial plan, with a primary focus on maximizing product sales by effectively communicating the value proposition of the Endocrinology portfolio to relevant stakeholders.

This role is responsible for targeting and promoting Crinetics' therapeutic products to endocrinologists, and other healthcare providers, with the goal of driving business growth and achieving the company's objectives. With a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes, you will build trusted relationships with healthcare providers and systems by understanding the complexities of rare diseases and the unique challenges patients face. This role blends commercial multi-channel marketing and project management with patient-centric purpose. By gaining deep insights into the patient journey—including treatment pathways, access barriers, and care gaps— you are a valued partner to clinicians, enabling broader and more effective use of Crinetics' therapies.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to share real-world insights that inform strategy, shape innovation, and maximize commercial impact. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:


These may include but are not limited to:

  • Attain or exceed assigned sales and profit goals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business / account plan for a wide geographical area to effectively target, penetrate, and establish a network of relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Consistently share insights and critical field intelligence with the cross functional European and German team.
  • Deliver and develop multi-channel activities and messages in an accurate and persuasive manner that is consistent with the marketing plan and results in utilization of Crinetics’ products.
  • Develop an understanding of each customer’s (physician & pharmacist/market access) needs and deliver messages and programs that effectively address them.
  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships with customers (physicians, staff, nurses, administrators, etc.) throughout the territory.
  • Continually update knowledge of Crinetics and competitive products to act as a resource to customers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with regional and local Key Account Management for key projects.
  • Complete administrative duties as required in an accurate and timely manner. Stay within expense guidelines & assigned budgets.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations that govern Crinetics and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Healthcare Industry sales and/or project & network management experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage key account relationships
  • Demonstrated growth in sales while managing your own territory
  • Documented track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience working with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Business acumen and strong comprehension of difficult clinical information
  • Ability to articulate and develop complex clinical messages to Healthcare Providers in real time situations both face to face and via multi-channel activities.
  • The ability to independently manage multiple deliverables and adapt to shifting priorities with strong skills in project management, collaboration and communication will be key to success.

  • Independent, with an ability to work within a team
  • Attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Excellent command of German and English
  • Endocrinology Experience is preferred



Travel:

You may be required to travel for up to 50% of your time.
