Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: New York, NY (5 days on-site)

Compensation: $180,000 - $225,000 base + meaningful equity

An early-stage AI healthcare startup is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of workflow software for behavioral health clinicians and private practices.

The company has already supported millions of patient encounters through its AI-powered clinical documentation and ambient scribing platform and is now expanding into a broader operating system for behavioral healthcare providers.

This is not a narrowly scoped engineering role. The team is looking for someone excited to help shape both the product and engineering culture at a very early stage.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship user-facing product features end-to-end across frontend, backend, infrastructure, databases, and AI-powered workflows
• Work closely with product and leadership teams to rapidly iterate on ideas generated through customer discovery and clinician feedback
• Help scale and improve the company’s shared intelligence infrastructure layer powering AI functionality across the platform
• Contribute to developer tooling, internal infrastructure, and engineering workflows that improve product velocity and reliability
• Participate directly in product decisions, customer conversations, and prioritization discussions
• Own systems and features from concept through deployment, iteration, and long-term improvement
• Collaborate across the entire product stack in a highly generalist engineering environment focused on execution speed and customer impact

Ideal Candidate

• Ample production engineering experience
• Startup or highly product-focused background preferred
• Comfortable working across the stack rather than specializing narrowly
• Strong product intuition and user empathy
• Experience shipping quickly in fast-moving environments
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and evolving priorities
• High-agency mindset with strong ownership mentality
• Excited about AI-native product development workflows and tooling
• Enjoys working in small, highly collaborative teams
