This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in the United States.

This role is focused on building and operating highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native infrastructure that powers large-scale healthcare technology platforms. You will take ownership of Kubernetes-based environments, with a strong emphasis on AWS EKS, driving platform engineering excellence across production workloads. The position plays a critical role in enabling engineering teams through automation, self-service infrastructure, and robust CI/CD systems. You will collaborate closely with security, architecture, and application teams to modernize systems and ensure operational best practices are consistently applied. This is a senior technical role combining hands-on engineering with architectural influence, reliability ownership, and mentorship responsibilities. You will help shape the foundation of a high-traffic, mission-driven platform that directly supports healthcare data exchange at scale.

Accountabilities:

    • Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters, primarily on AWS EKS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Build and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes best practices for cloud-native applications.
    • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to automate cloud provisioning.
    • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins to enable reliable deployments.
    • Implement and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, logging, and alerting for distributed systems.
    • Define and enforce platform engineering standards, including deployment patterns, security practices, and operational guidelines.
    • Lead reliability engineering efforts, including incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application modernization and cloud transformation efforts.
    • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership across DevOps and platform initiatives.
    • Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and best practices across Kubernetes and cloud environments.

    Requirements:

      • 5–7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles.
      • Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments, preferably AWS EKS.
      • Solid experience with Docker and containerized application architectures.
      • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or CloudFormation.
      • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation workflows.
      • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
      • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and distributed system architectures.
      • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Splunk.
      • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis capabilities.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and security teams.
      • Experience with security best practices in Kubernetes (RBAC, secrets management, network policies) is a plus.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.

      Benefits:

        • Competitive compensation with bonus eligibility and performance-based rewards.
        • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
        • 401(k) retirement plan with company match available from day one.
        • Unlimited PTO for salaried employees plus paid holidays.
        • Remote-first work environment with flexible working arrangements.
        • Professional development support, including education reimbursement programs.
        • Wellness benefits such as gym reimbursements and health initiatives.
        • Paid parental leave for all parents, including adoptive and birth parents.
        • Inclusive culture with employee resource groups and strong community engagement initiatives.
        • Opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical healthcare infrastructure impacting millions of users.
