Software Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a high-impact infrastructure engineering role focused on building and scaling the foundational systems that power large-scale data and AI workloads. You will work on designing robust cloud infrastructure capable of supporting exabyte-scale systems, enabling fast and reliable deployment cycles across production environments. The role goes far beyond traditional operations, emphasizing deep engineering ownership of distributed systems, Kubernetes platforms, and developer productivity tooling. You will contribute directly to system reliability, observability, and automation, ensuring seamless performance across complex enterprise-grade environments. The position also involves close collaboration with engineering teams and direct engagement with customer-facing technical challenges. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure supporting large-scale data and AI workloads
• Manage and optimize production Kubernetes clusters ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficient scaling
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve build speed, testing reliability, and deployment safety
• Enhance developer experience through automation, tooling improvements, and workflow optimization
• Strengthen observability systems including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting frameworks
• Contribute to end-to-end testing and release confidence mechanisms to ensure production stability
• Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture, scalability, and infrastructure reliability challenges
• Support customer-facing technical integrations, troubleshooting infrastructure issues across environments
• Drive operational excellence through automation, reliability engineering, and infrastructure best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems development
• Strong programming skills in Go, Java, Python, or similar languages
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments and strong containerization expertise (Docker)
• Experience working with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong expertise in CI/CD systems and infrastructure automation
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform
• Ability to debug complex distributed systems across networking, storage, and runtime layers
• Proven experience designing scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure systems
• Strong communication skills with ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
• Exposure to data platforms (Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Delta, Airflow) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) is a plus
