About The Role
We’re looking for a Technical Lead with a fullstack background, strong architectural instincts, and deep experience with cloud-native systems, automation, and integrations.
You will lead the technical vision, own complex systems end-to-end, and build the automation layer that powers Cloud9’s scale. This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership: designing systems, guiding technical decisions, and mentoring other engineers as we expand our platform.
You’ll partner closely with product and operations to turn ambiguous problems into scalable, reliable, intelligent systems.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and build full-stack features and platforms using JavaScript/TypeScript/ReactJS.
- Lead the development of Cloud9’s AI automation engine, encoding complex operational workflows into software.
- Own automation systems using tools like n8n and custom-built services.
- Design and maintain API integrations with third-party providers, internal services, AI models, and LLM pipelines.
- Develop and improve GCP cloud services.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, supporting code quality, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with product to define technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features.
- Ensure architectural soundness across systems: performance, observability, logging, resilience, data modeling, and integrations.
- Drive engineering excellence, best practices, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- 5–10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise with JavaScript & TypeScript in both backend and frontend environments.
- Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture.
- Proven experience designing scalable software architectures, distributed systems, and integrations.
- Solid experience with SQL & NoSQL databases.
- Strong background in API development, REST/GraphQL, webhooks, and integration patterns.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., n8n) or building workflow engines from scratch.
- Experience working with AI/LLM integrations, conversational agents, or automated decision-making systems (nice to have but strong interest is enough).
- Ability to lead complex projects end-to-end and collaborate across product, operations, and leadership.
- A builder mentality: ownership, speed, clarity, and focus on impact.
- Experience building chatbots, AI agents, or LLM-driven systems.
- Background in startups, high-growth products, or 0→1 platforms.
- Strong DevOps instincts (CI/CD, observability, performance tuning).
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading small teams.
- The salary range for this role starts at: 24 M COP
- Colombian labor contract with full benefits
- Hybrid work setup
Our Core Values
- Meritocracy – Performance is public, measurable, and rewarded.
- Execution – Doers win. Deliver fast, adjust faster.
- Radical Feedback – Real-time corrections, no politics.
- Championship Team – Only A-players stay. Mediocrity is cut.
