This role plays a key part in strengthening corporate accounting operations within a fast-paced, global environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across core accounting processes, including general ledger activities, fixed assets, and operational accounting. The position involves close collaboration with international teams, particularly U.S.-based stakeholders, requiring strong coordination and communication skills. You will actively support month-end and quarter-end close cycles while ensuring adherence to internal controls and financial reporting standards. The role also contributes to audit readiness, SOX compliance, and continuous improvement of accounting processes. It is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in structured yet dynamic environments and enjoys working across global financial operations.
Accountabilities:
- Perform and review accounting activities across general ledger, fixed assets, capitalized software, and operational accounting functions.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial data and contribute to the preparation of internal financial reports and close deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
- Review the work of accounting staff, including invoices, vendor records, and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Participate in internal and external audit processes and provide required documentation and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to improve accounting processes and financial controls.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from management as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent corporate accounting experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding and prior experience with SOX compliance requirements.
- Experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Familiarity with capitalized software accounting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with U.S.-based teams and across time zones.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with NetSuite or FloQast is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, structured, and deadline-driven environment.
