This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare operations professional passionate about behavioral health, employee well-being, and program transformation. In this role, you will oversee large-scale Employee Assistance Program (EAP) operations, leading cross-functional teams responsible for clinical services, call center operations, technology enablement, and account management. You will play a strategic role in driving operational excellence, expanding digital engagement, and implementing AI-powered solutions that improve access, efficiency, and client outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with public-sector and employer clients while managing high-value programs in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. Ideal candidates are strong relationship builders with expertise in healthcare operations, behavioral health, and large-scale program leadership. This is a full-time remote U.S.-based role with occasional travel requirements.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the strategic management and operational oversight of complex Employee Assistance Program (EAP) accounts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Direct and supervise cross-functional teams across EAP Account Management, Call Center Operations, Technology Enablement, and Clinical Services.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, service-level agreements, confidentiality requirements, and operational performance metrics.
- Drive innovation and growth initiatives by expanding EAP accessibility, digital engagement capabilities, and AI-enabled behavioral health solutions.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships while leading renewals, reviews, and expansion opportunities.
- Oversee implementation planning, risk management, staffing strategies, forecasting, and operational readiness for multiple large-scale programs.
- Monitor budgets, program performance, KPIs, utilization trends, and service outcomes to ensure operational and financial success.
- Collaborate with leadership, business development, technology, and clinical teams to align programs with broader organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Support proposal development, client presentations, and new business initiatives related to EAP offerings.
- Lead transformation initiatives focused on automation, digital triage, operational efficiency, and enhanced access to behavioral health services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, utilization management, case management, behavioral health, pharmacy, or related healthcare sectors.
- Strong experience managing complex healthcare programs, stakeholder relationships, and cross-functional operational teams.
- Deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, behavioral health, or healthcare industry operations.
- Proven expertise in strategic planning, program management, operational oversight, and business growth initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced environments.
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, operational performance metrics, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience leading geographically distributed teams and driving accountability across multiple functional areas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to proprietary systems and digital tools.
- Ability to travel approximately 15–20% as required.
- Experience with AI-enabled operational tools, digital engagement strategies, or healthcare technology solutions is highly valued.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $138,800 to $173,500, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
