Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of a scalable analytics platform. You will oversee the full software development lifecycle while ensuring alignment between technical execution and business objectives.

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of backend and data engineers focused on analytics and data-intensive services
    • Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into clear technical requirements and delivery plans
    • Own end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with product objectives
    • Define and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with long-term platform and business strategy
    • Identify and address technical debt, resource gaps, and process inefficiencies to improve team velocity and output quality
    • Make and communicate strategic trade-offs based on technical feasibility, risk, and business impact
    • Collaborate on architecture design to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
    • Ensure clear documentation and communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders

    Requirements

    This position requires extensive software engineering experience combined with proven leadership in managing high-performing technical teams. Strong expertise in backend systems, Python development, and scalable architecture is essential.

      • 10+ years of software engineering experience with 6+ years in engineering management roles
      • Strong proficiency in Python and idiomatic software design practices
      • Deep understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, and system design principles
      • Experience building high-performance, high-availability, and scalable applications
      • Proven ability to lead engineering teams in fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environments
      • Strong background in data-intensive systems and backend engineering
      • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and secure software design practices
      • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
      • Ability to balance technical depth with strategic decision-making and stakeholder alignment
