This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to oversee and modernize global financial consolidation operations within a complex, international environment. In this role, you will lead the global close and consolidation process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies. You will collaborate closely with finance, tax, SEC reporting, technical accounting, and regional accounting teams to deliver high-quality consolidated analytics that support executive decision-making and global expansion. The position combines technical accounting expertise, operational leadership, and transformation initiatives, including process automation and AI-driven improvements. Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the global month-end and quarter-end close calendar, ensuring accurate, timely, and SOX-compliant consolidated financial reporting across multiple international entities.
- Oversee all consolidation activities, including intercompany accounting, eliminations, foreign currency translation, CTA accounting, equity accounting, and multi-currency reporting processes.
- Provide analytical oversight of consolidated financial results, including US GAAP, Non-GAAP, and management reporting metrics, while identifying key variances and business drivers.
- Maintain and optimize the global general ledger structure, chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, and consolidation mappings across legal entities and reporting frameworks.
- Partner with FP&A, technical accounting, SEC reporting, tax, legal, and regional accounting teams to align financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning activities.
- Ensure strong internal controls and governance over consolidation processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Support technical accounting initiatives, audit activities, quarterly filings, legal entity restructuring, and global expansion projects.
- Drive process standardization, simplification, and automation initiatives across consolidation and close operations, including the implementation of AI-enabled solutions and ERP optimization efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and analytical rigor.
- Deliver executive-level reporting, close reviews, and financial insights that support strategic decision-making and operational scalability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification is mandatory.
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience leading global consolidations within a public company environment.
- Deep expertise in multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, foreign currency translation, CTA accounting, and Non-GAAP financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting governance.
- Proven experience managing complex global close processes and successfully shortening close cycles while maintaining accuracy and control standards.
- Strong background with ERP systems, consolidation platforms, and financial systems optimization initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and collaborate effectively across multiple functions and international stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly to senior leadership.
- Experience driving process automation, modernization, and AI adoption within accounting or finance operations is highly valued.
