This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Center Transitions Project Manager in the United States.

This role sits at the heart of complex data center mobilizations and operational transitions, ensuring that new and expanding facilities move seamlessly from planning to full operational readiness. You will coordinate multiple technical and non-technical workstreams across internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders in high-stakes, mission-critical environments. The position requires strong project discipline, structured communication, and the ability to manage detailed transition plans with precision. You will play a key role in tracking milestones, risks, and deliverables while ensuring readiness across staffing, infrastructure, documentation, and operational procedures. Working closely with operations leadership, you will help drive smooth handovers from construction or acquisition phases into steady-state operations. This is a highly collaborative and fast-paced role, with exposure to hyperscale environments and large-scale infrastructure programs. It is remote-based within the United States, with travel requirements as needed.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the end-to-end execution of data center transition and readiness activities, ensuring operational stability and successful handover.

    • Support planning and execution of data center transitions from mobilization through operational go-live and steady-state handover
    • Develop and maintain detailed transition project plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, and deliverables
    • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams spanning operations, engineering, HR, safety, procurement, vendors, and client stakeholders
    • Track and manage deliverables, schedules, action items, risks, issues, and decision logs to ensure full visibility and accountability
    • Prepare regular reporting materials including dashboards, status updates, executive summaries, and client-facing communications
    • Oversee operational readiness activities, including staffing, training, documentation, systems setup, and compliance requirements
    • Support governance meetings, readiness reviews, go-live planning, and post-transition closeout activities

    Requirements:

This role requires strong experience in data center environments combined with structured project management and excellent stakeholder coordination skills.

      • Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, engineering, facilities maintenance, or transition/project coordination roles
      • Hands-on experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, including familiarity with infrastructure systems (UPS, cooling, generators, BMS, fire/life safety)
      • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, tracking, and risk management across multiple workstreams
      • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder groups, including technical teams, leadership, vendors, and client representatives
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports, dashboards, and executive-level updates
      • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and project tracking systems (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
      • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
      • Preferred: experience with commissioning, data center transitions, CMMS systems, SOP/MOP/EOP documentation, or PMP/technical certifications

      Benefits:

This position offers a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive set of benefits designed to support employees’ well-being and long-term success.

        • Annual base salary of approximately $110,000 USD
        • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
        • Health Savings Account (HSA) options
        • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
        • Paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave
        • Mental health support and Employee Assistance Program access
        • Gym discounts and wellness-focused perks
        • Life, AD&D, and disability insurance options at discounted group rates
        • Remote-based flexibility with up to 35% travel depending on project needs
