This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building and scaling a modern, AI-enabled accounting function within a fast-growing SaaS organization preparing for the next stage of its corporate evolution. The Corporate Controller will own end-to-end financial close, reporting, audit readiness, and treasury operations while serving as the technical accounting authority across the business. This role is deeply embedded in strategic decision-making and partners closely with the CFO on financial integrity, scalability, and IPO readiness. A core aspect of the position is redefining how accounting work is performed through AI-driven automation, intelligent workflows, and data-informed controls. Accountabilities:
- Own and lead the full financial close process (monthly, quarterly, annual), including record-to-report and procure-to-pay cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and support SEC reporting readiness for a future public company environment
- Act as technical accounting authority for complex transactions, revenue recognition, and disclosure requirements
- Design and implement AI-driven close processes, including automated reconciliations, variance analysis, and exception management to improve efficiency and cycle times
- Lead all audit activities, serving as primary liaison with external auditors and ensuring efficient, well-documented audit execution
- Establish and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and accounting policies across global entities
- Own commissions accounting, ensuring accurate calculation, accrual, payout, and compliance with ASC 606 / 340-40 standards
- Manage treasury operations including liquidity, FX exposure, and cash management strategy in partnership with finance leadership
- Oversee financial systems architecture, including ERP and related tools, ensuring scalability and automation readiness
- Drive AI transformation across the accounting function, defining governance standards, adoption strategy, and automation roadmap
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, People, and Revenue Operations on planning, forecasting, and compensation-related accounting impacts
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering AI fluency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level leadership in a SaaS or recurring revenue environment
- Strong expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and multi-entity global consolidations
- Proven experience leading audit processes and managing relationships with external auditors
- Deep understanding of revenue recognition, commissions accounting, and complex technical accounting issues
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and financial system implementations
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools to materially improve accounting operations and efficiency
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with experience in scalable reporting frameworks
- Excellent communication and executive-level business partnering skills across cross-functional teams
- Ability to lead and mentor high-performing finance teams in a fast-scaling environment
- CPA certification required with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong judgment in evaluating AI outputs and ensuring appropriate human oversight in financial decision-making
- Strategic mindset with a passion for building modern, automated finance functions
- Competitive base salary range of 198,000 to 214,000 USD
