This role sits within a cloud escalations environment where you will help support, stabilize, and optimize complex Azure-based infrastructure across multiple client environments. You will act as a key technical escalation point, resolving high-priority incidents while ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and highly available. The position combines hands-on cloud administration with incident response, automation, and infrastructure optimization, making it both operationally critical and technically diverse. You will work across networking, security, virtualization, and cloud services while collaborating closely with engineers and client stakeholders. The environment is fast-paced, ITIL-driven, and focused on continuous improvement, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset. This is a remote U.S.-based role with occasional escalation coverage, including nights and weekends.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting complex Azure cloud environments while ensuring operational stability, security compliance, and high-quality client service delivery.

    • Serve as an escalation point for high-priority incidents, applying ITIL-based incident and problem management practices
    • Administer and support Azure cloud environments, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
    • Manage networking components such as firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and policy-based routing
    • Support Windows and Linux server environments along with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware
    • Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Bicep, and CI/CD practices
    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates for scalable and repeatable deployments
    • Configure monitoring and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and performance visibility
    • Ensure compliance with frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 1/2, and internal security standards
    • Produce and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures for internal and client use
    • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure timely response to escalated issues and SLA adherence

    Requirements:

    This role requires strong Azure administration experience, solid infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and network environments in a fast-paced support setting.

      • 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud support or cloud systems administration
      • Hands-on experience with networking technologies including VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and routing policies
      • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration
      • Experience with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware
      • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Bicep, with CI/CD exposure
      • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management
      • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues independently
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients clearly
      • Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., Commvault) is a plus
      • Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification required within 90 days of employment
      • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Public Trust clearance
