Business Systems Analyst

Accountabilities

• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams by translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, design workshops, and joint application design sessions with architecture, development, and security stakeholders.
• Support end-to-end solution design by ensuring consistency, traceability, and integrity of requirements across the delivery lifecycle.
• Maintain and refine product and release backlogs, ensuring priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines are clearly defined.
• Contribute to enterprise-level process engineering efforts across infrastructure, DevOps, security, and integration domains.
• Document and maintain knowledge assets in centralized collaboration tools to support transparency and team alignment.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering practices, delivery efficiency, and solution quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role within agile or lean IT environments.
• Strong academic background in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven ability to analyze complex systems, simplify ambiguity, and produce clear, structured documentation.
• Experience working with APIs and integration standards such as REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, OpenAPI, and OAuth2.
• Familiarity with microservices or modular architecture in modern digital platforms.
• Hands-on experience with collaboration and delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and MS Office.
• Understanding of integration patterns, secure file transfer, and batch processing concepts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of deliverables.
