You will be responsible for expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening long-term customer relationships in highly competitive industrial markets. You will also play a key role in enabling distributor success through training, joint field activities, and strategic alignment. Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets across a multi-state industrial market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial end users to generate direct sales opportunities and long-term partnerships.
- Manage and support distributor and channel partner performance through training, joint customer visits, and ongoing strategic alignment.
- Identify customer needs and growth opportunities using tools such as air audits, market research, and digital sales platforms.
- Deliver technical and value-driven presentations, including “Lunch and Learn” sessions, to educate and engage prospective customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback, providing insights to internal sales and product teams.
- Utilize CRM systems to track pipeline activity, manage opportunities, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Coordinate with marketing and internal stakeholders to effectively deploy campaigns, product updates, and sales initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7–10+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial, technical, or equipment-based markets.
- Proven success in direct sales to industrial end users and managing strategic accounts across a defined territory.
- Experience working with distributor or channel partner networks and improving their sales performance.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to identify, pursue, and close new business in competitive industrial markets.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Strong organizational, self-motivation, and goal-oriented mindset with a focus on customer success.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60%, including overnight trips.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
