Technical Product Leader | Open source & Web3 | Up to $225,000 (negotiable) | Remote - USAOur client is on the lookout for a hands-on product leader to own the roadmap for their core blockchain services — Tokenization (FT/NFT/RWAs), Smart Contracts, Consensus, and Developer APIs/SDKs. This role is for someone who thrives on leading product strategy and deep technical execution, working alongside engineers to co-author specs, prototype features, and deliver products that delight developers.
What You’ll Do
Define and drive the roadmap for core services, from HTS and Smart Contracts to SDKs and Mirror nodes. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to write design docs, HIPs, and evaluate trade-offs. Build prototypes to validate ideas and shepherd features from inception to launch. Maintain public roadmaps, triage GitHub issues, and engage the open-source developer community. Partner with DevRel and Developer Advocates to turn feedback into concrete requirements and content. Lead launch readiness, backward-compatibility planning, and coordinate security/release processes. What You Bring 8–12+ years in Product Management or equivalent, with 5+ years on highly technical platforms (distributed systems, cloud infra, databases, or blockchain). Comfortable co-authoring design docs, reading code, and making technical trade-offs alongside engineers. Deep understanding of APIs, SDKs, consensus, transactions, state management, and developer workflows. Proven experience shipping enterprise-grade software or developer platforms. Hands-on familiarity with at least one language (Java/Kotlin/Go/TypeScript) for demos/prototyping. Excellent communication, specs writing, and experience gathering requirements from technical users. Blockchain experience is not completely necessary for this role if you have experience in some of the other areas. Bonus Skills Open-source leadership experience: maintaining repos, triage, release management. Domain expertise in tokenization, DeFi, payments, identity/DIDs, compliance. Experience collaborating with DevRel teams to produce content, samples, and guides. Work Style Close engineering collaboration: PMs contribute in PRs, design reviews, and thin, testable iterations. Prioritize developer experience, ship complete features with docs and examples. Collaborate with developers, governing councils, partners, and enterprise customers.
